The annual NAACP DeKalb Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade was live in 2023. COVID-19 had sidelined the parade in 2021 and 2022, but the bands and fans came out on January 16, 2023 to remember the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The grand marshal for this year’s parade was Rob Hardy, producer and director. His company Rainforest Entertainment has a first look development deal at Lionsgate Studios. The Florida A&M University graduate is a Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. Hardy co-founded The Amazing Stories Foundation, which is a program that trains Atlanta-based residents for Production Assistant positions on local film and TV sets.
