The National Center for Civil and Human Rights Education Workshop

Join us at The National Center for Civil and Human Rights this spring for a 2-day workshop helping educators understand frameworks used to create impactful and empathy building learning experiences for students learning about slavery and American history. Both workshops will be held from 9am-3pm.  February 1 – 2, 2023

In this interactive workshop, educators will explore Learning for Justice’s Teaching Hard History: American Slavery framework.  They will connect their identity with their current practices around teaching enslavement, then use their reflections to address gaps in their curriculum and instruction.  In addition, they will also have the opportunity to reflect on the legacy of slavery influences their local community today.  See Full Details Here
