President Hardy to Receive Trailblazers Award

The Salem Bible Church has announced that Teresa Hardy, President of NAACP DeKalb, will be the first recipient of the Trailblazers Award for Black History Month at the church.  The award will be presented on Sunday, February 23, 2020, as a part of the Black History Month program.  The church wants to recognize individuals that are working and making a positive impact in our community.

As NAACP DeKalb County Branch president, Ms. Hardy has been called a “Change Agent” for the community driving programs and initiatives that bridge the gap between people, government, elected officials, businesses and other communities.  One of her projects was a  Criminal Justice Reform initiative that led to creating signature bonds on misdemeanor cases in DeKalb.  This was a collaboration between other community organizations and local judicial stakeholders.  The new 2020 Vision she is leading for the local branch of the NAACP is designed to educate, equip, and empower the community on issues that will foster a better life in the community.  And as always, President Hardy strongly encourages all DeKalb county citizens to join the local branch.   She says, “the more you participate, the more we succeed.”  Join at www.NAACPDekalb.org.

The award will be presented at Salem Bible Church, 5460 Hillandale Dr.,Stonecrest, GA.  The award presentation is during the 11:00 a.m. service.
