Human Trafficking: Our Children, Our Community, Our World!!!

In recognition of National Prevention Child Abuse Month, the NAACP DeKalb County Branch partners with Morning Glory Children & Family Services, My Name Is M.E., and South Candler Neighborhood Advocates to host a human trafficking community event “Human Trafficking: Our Children  Our Community  Our World!

Human Trafficking is a stain on the community, on society and on humanity. It is estimated that 80% of trafficking victims are female and over 50% of the victims are children. From forced labor to sexual exploitation, children deserve better.

The public is invited and highly encouraged to attend this human trafficking event where we will discuss the facts and solutions for maltreatment of children in slave labor and sexual exploitation. We will provide helpful information and strategies for families and our community to protect our children locally, nationally, and globally. This event includes expert panelists and community organizations which will be available to provide relevant information and resources.

The event will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Stonecrest Public Library, 3123 Klondike Road, Lithonia, Georgia 30038.
