CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield signed a declaration determining that the evictions of tenants could be detrimental to public health control measures to slow the spread of SARS-Cov-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
This halt is for tenants, lessees, or residents of residential properties. Foreclosures or home mortgages not included in this exemption. You must provide a copy of this declaration to your landlord, or owner of the residential property.
Each adult listed on the lease must complete this declaration. You are still required to pay rent and follow all the other terms of lease. You could still be evicted for reasons other than not paying rent. Fill out this form to accompany your request
